Dogs love parks. Whether it’s to exercise, to take a short walk or enjoy a whole day of chasing and playing, it’s certainly going to be a day filled with fun.
But sometimes, a supposedly fun-filled day can turn into a scary one. Thankfully, Sugarfoot doesn’t seem to remember such a frightening encounter.
Last week, Natalaya Hines and Sugarfoot went to the park to relax and have some fun time. The little black dog was running and goofing around when an unexpected guest dropped in.
In a safe distance, Natalaya sat by the grass as she kept her eyes on Sugarfoot. She’s delighted to see that her dog is having a good time. All of a sudden, a huge hawk swooped in. With its talons out, it looked like it was aiming to snatch the unsuspecting dog.
Thankfully, that wasn’t the case. The predator bird probably had a change of mind. It flew away without scathing Sugarfoot. Watch that nerve-wracking encounter here:
It was a pretty scary encounter. All Natalaya wanted was to record a short video of her dog enjoying such an adorable and lovely moment. But a hawk suddenly tried swooping down.
Fortunately, Sugarfoot was unharmed. And she didn’t seem to realize what actually happened. It was a good thing that she was busy playing and running around. Otherwise, she might have ended up incredibly terrified.
Natalaya never thought Sugarfoot would have such a scary encounter with a large hawk. It came so close that it could have pounced her dog. And she definitely wouldn’t know what to do in case the bird did.
For Natalaya, the incident is a perfect reminder for her always to keep a keen eye on Sugarfoot. Similarly, every pet owner should, with or without huge birds around.
After the occurrence, Natalaya admits she’s now more vigilant of Sugarfoot. She never thought predator birds are around. And now that she does, she’s not taking any chances.
