The annual Crufts event is something dog owners and dog lovers are excited about. It is a popular competition that shows off dogs’ agility. To join the event, dog owners take the time to train their pets.
Olly is a Jack Russell terrier and he has been trained well by his owner. But Olly had something that his owner didn’t expect right on the day of the competition.
On D-Day, Olly seemed to be quite fascinated by the place where he would be competing in. Sure he may have trained well, but this place is different from where he had trained.
Well, it surely isn’t every day that he gets to be in this beautiful place so he decided that it was best to enjoy the whole thing. He turned the arena into his personal playground.
What Olly did disappointed his owner since the dog didn’t really show his agility skills. But the audience was really entertained.
Right at the start of the competition, Olly showed that he wasn’t there to compete. He dived nose first to the floor when he tried to jump over the first obstacle in the course. That was just the beginning. He did a lot more moves that could be seen as fails.
Olly surely did not win any awards that day but the audience was very enthralled with the dog. If there was an award for crowd favorite, Olly surely would be taking it home.
Just like in any competition, there are rules that should be followed but Olly didn’t care about the rules at all. For him, it was taking in the moment and having lots of fun.
Olly’s owner may be disappointed in him during that time but I’m pretty sure that the disappointment didn’t last long. Olly has become a star in his own right and he surely is a good dog still.
