There are people out there who wouldn’t have second thoughts about giving their dog away or putting them down. Fortunately, there are also people who would do everything to make sure a dog lives a good life.
Eleni and Adam from Wayward Ranch Animal Sanctuary rescued a pit bull named Frankie. They were shocked when they first met the dog. He was really thin and unhealthy.
The owner claimed that Frankie was eleven years old and that he had cancer. However, when Eleni took the dog to the vet, they found no cancer. They suspect that the owner lied because he wanter Frankie to be euthanized.
Frankie was clearly in a horrible situation, so they convinced the owner to give up custody of Frankie. Eleni and Adam took Frankie to their ranch and took care of him.
At first, the rescuers thought they were giving Frankie hospice care because they were not sure why he was so emaciated. They did everything they could to get Frankie back to a healthy condition. They also found out that he might be five or six years old, not eleven.
Frankie used to weigh thirty pounds, but because currently, he is at sixty pounds. Frankie’s personality really came out once he was in the animal sanctuary. He is friendly with everyone he meets.
Frankie has some medical issues. He has heart disease and is taking medication for it. However, according to Eleni and Adam, they are willing to help any potential adopter with the cost of medication.
Frankie has lived for a long time without experiencing much love. He still has a long life left to live and more wonderful things to experience. The rescuers hope that someone will come by and adopt Frankie because he deserves it.
