The holidays may be gone, but in some parts of the world, it’s still looking a lot like a white Christmas! And like many of us, two Golden Retrievers named Harry Winston and Louis Vuitton are having the time of their lives with their first experience of heavy snow!
The two furry pups, who live in New York City with their fur-parents Lisa and Rusty Hanafin, had the time of their lives when they were allowed to go out of their backyard to experience over three feet of white stuff that a snowstorm left behind.
Fortunately, the Hanafin’s were able to record the precious moment of their dogs enjoying their first-ever snow day. The video shows Rusty opening the door that led to the yard as their two pets stand, marveling at the snow. They were a little hesitant at first, evident in how they were trying to paw against the stuff. But after a bit of prodding and encouragement from their fur-parents, the duo happily jumps in!
The two young Goldens practically disappear in the snow, but they appear to enjoy and welcome the fun twist in their playtime! And as if it doesn’t get any cuter than that, the video shows us how joyfully Harry and Louis jump and play-fight in their bed of snow. The two cuties were thoroughly delighted with the weather change that their owners had to lure them back inside using hot dogs.
In an interview, Lisa said that she knew her dogs thought the snow was terrific and that she was entertained with how jovial her dogs looked while experiencing something new. She also said how wonderful it was to see them playing in the snow and how amazing it was to watch them looking up while it was falling and trying to catch it using their mouths!
It looks like Harry and Louis will be dreaming of a white Christmas for a while after this experience!
