Rescue Dogs That Bonded At The Vet Are Both Looking For A Family That Will Adopt Them Together

When rescue dogs bond, it’s almost impossible to separate them. Separating bonded dogs will cause both dogs a lot of distress. Some dogs even refuse to eat or do anything because they get so depressed when they get separated from their best friend.

Dogs are incredibly loyal creatures. When they bond with other dogs or even other creatures, it’s almost always a bond that will last a lifetime. An animal rescuer named Theoklitos Proestakis knows by experience that bonded dogs should never be separated. Known as Takis and his non-profit animal rescue organization, Takis Shelter, Theoklitos have experienced his fair share of taking care of bonded dogs.

One great example of bonded dogs that Takis Shelter rescued is Piou and Tsiou. Piou was found in the streets, paralyzed. Takis took Piou to the vet straight away but was informed of awful news that Piou’s spine was broken. After a few days, Theoklitos was again called by someone telling him that another dog was hit by a car.

That was when Takis met Tsiou, a stray female dog with a missing back leg. Takis took the dog to the same vet where Tsiou was placed in the same kennel as Piou. Both of the dogs were waiting for surgery.

While waiting for surgery, Piou and Tsiou eventually bonded and became inseparable. Piou and Tsiou wanted to be next to each other all the time. After Piou and Tsiou were operated on, Takis took both of the dogs back to his shelter.

Takis took Tsiou out of the cage first, but Tsiou started running back towards the cage and wanted to be inside the cage with Piou. That was when Takis knew that the dogs have bonded and are inseparable. Whenever Tsiou would separate Piou from Tsiou to shower him or to put his wheelchair on, Tsiou would always scream at Takis, demanding to give Piou back to her.

Takis refuses to separate both Piou and Tsiou. Whenever someone wants to adopt Tsiou, Takis would always say no and tell potential adopters that both Tsiou and Piou should be adopted together. Takis is optimistic that a loving family would take Piou and Tsiou together. Here’s a heartwarming video of how Piou and Tsiou bonded and became inseparable.
