Pet lovers are most afraid of the devastating feeling of losing a pet and not knowing their whereabouts. This is mainly because our pets are treated like family and there’s nothing in the world that could replace them. This was what the family of a Labrador-Retriever was feeling when they realized that their beloved dog had gone missing from their home in March 2017. As troubling as losing a pet already is, the pup was blind and was already progressing through her senior years.
The pup was named Sage and was everything to her family. Clearly, the bond she shared with her family wasn’t replaceable so the search to find the lost pup was done rigorously.
Although a week had passed, the family was determined to bring her back to safety. They were clearly distressed at how the pup might be coping with the outside world given that she was already a senior and suffered from blindness. Without a family to support the lost blind pup, it was unclear how the pup was eating throughout the week.
Sage’s family was so desperate to find her that they brought up a $1000 reward to anyone that could bring her back. The pup meant a great deal to them so they wanted to exhaust every effort in the search for her.
But when their neighbor named Dan Estrada went hiking with his two pups, he stumbled upon a curiously-looking figure. Upon further inspection, he realized that the figure was the lost pup his neighbors had been searching for so long.
Sage, however, was feeling incredibly weak because of the days she wasn’t able to eat or drink. You see, she faced difficulty getting what she needed because she was blind.
Thankfully, Dan was able to carry her all the way down to bring Sage back to her loving family. It was a tear-jerking reunion for the family because they thought they’d never see the pup again.
