Most of us will agree that dogs are God’s gift to humans. They are loyal companions whose love and friendship are pure and genuine. Unfortunately, there are heartless humans who own dogs and treat them like trash. These people don’t deserve the love of dogs and they definitely should never be allowed to own dogs.
A dog named Angelica was locked in a small cage for six years. Almost half of her life was spent in that tiny cage. Throughout her entire life, she never experienced love or kindness from humans. She didn’t even get bathed or exercised by her former owners.
Thankfully, Angelica’s nightmarish life came to an end when an animal rescue group learned about her and took her away from her abusive and neglectful owners. For the first time in her life, she was let out of her small cage and was allowed to explore the world around her.
Despite having been abused, neglected, and knowing only the pain and suffering that were inflicted by people, she still remains a trusting dog who’s full of love. She just wanted to receive love from humans and she trusted her rescuers.
Angelica needed a lot of work before she would be ready to get adopted. She needed to be trained and she also needed to build her strength in her leg muscles so she could walk and run again. Angelica’s rescuers placed her in an intensive physical therapy program to help her build muscle so she would be able to enjoy doing what most dogs love doing.
The most heartwarming moment after Angelica was rescued was when she was given her first-ever cheeseburger. Angelica didn’t know what it was but after smelling it, she acted like it was the most wonderful thing in the world. She ate the entire cheeseburger so fast while her tail was wagging with excitement. For her, it was the best treat she ever got.
Thanks to Angelica’s rescuers, she’s finally getting a chance to live the life that she deserves. After six years of being imprisoned in a tiny cage, she’s finally getting ready for a new life with a loving family. Here’s a heartwarming video featuring Angelica’s rescue story.
