Most dog owners should know that our four-legged-friends should never be locked inside a car alone, especially if the temperature outside is incredibly hot. But this commonly known fact seemed to have slipped the mind of the owner of two Labradors in York City, England when he left the pups inside his car for more than half an hour.
Even though the owner left the window slightly opened, the heat still accumulated inside the car and pushed the dogs to the brink of death. Because of this, the poor pups suffered from overheating because it was the hottest week of the year at the time.
Thankfully, police officers arrived and discovered the situation these two Labradors were in. They saw how the pups desperately wanted to get out because of how hot it was getting inside the car.
The cops knew that time was running quickly and they had no moment to spare. Without hesitation, they smashed the car window open to get these exhausted pups out. Upon taking the two Labradors out of the car, the police officers felt how hot it was inside and even struggled to breathe as they reached for the pups.
Thankfully, the cops managed to get the pups out of the car and were taken to the hospital for treatment. Although the pups were safe and recovering from the incident, the police still needed to find the owner to bring him to justice.
These cops weren’t going to let this situation slide because the pups were put into an incredibly dangerous situation. It’s delightful to know that authorities are actively taking these kinds of cases seriously.
Hopefully, more dog owners can be aware of the predicament of leaving their pups alone in the car. With an investigation underway, we certainly hope the cops are able to give justice to the two pups who suffered because of their owner. Discover more about these Labradors with this video.
