An elderly woman from a province in South Korea spotted a pregnant stray dog that recently gave birth. She witnessed how the mama dog protected her babies and saw how she kept them inside a portable restroom without a roof.
Concerned for the utmost safety and welfare of the furry family, she tried to rescue them but she was only able to save the babies and not the mom.
Terrified, the mama dog ran away and disappeared into the mountains. Grandma waited for her for hours but she did not come back so she was left with no other choice but to rescue the ones she’s already saved. The following morning, Grandma visited her with the puppies and hoped to be able to rescue her this time.
When the mama dog heard the cries of her babies, she came out running and immediately nursed them. Realizing how eager she was to be with her puppies, Grandma decided to bring them to her during meal times. She did it in the morning, in the afternoon, and at night.
Every day for a whole month, Grandma carried two huge bags with three puppies inside. And then, she walked to the station and hopped into the bus going to where the mama dog lived. Once they arrived, she let the little ones out and watched them as they ran to their mom, who patiently waited for their arrival.
Soon, local rescuers learned about Grandma’s daily routine. They appreciated her kind gesture in taking care of the puppies and they wanted to make sure that everyone stayed safe, especially the mama dog. Since she’s failed a couple of times rescuing her, they offered help to capture the dog.
The rescuers set up a huge cage in the field and placed the puppies inside. They waited until the mama dog arrived, and once she was inside, they shut the door behind her. At last, the mama dog was safe.
From the rescue site, everyone went straight to the veterinary clinic in town. The mama dog and her puppies all received medical care. She had her injured leg fixed but it took no time and she was back on her feet.
Once the mama dog got her clean bill of health, Granda came back for her. Like how she provided the puppies a good home, she promised to do the same for her.
