Stella, an American Bully, was found in the worst condition in an abandoned house. She lay on the floor completely motionless as if waiting for her death. Thanks to Louisa, her rescuer and forever mom, she was able to see the vet before it was too late.
The vets attended to Stella right away. They did their best to stabilize her but they only gave her a 50% chance of survival. They put her under critical care, and while they weren’t sure she’d even make it, they remained hopeful.
In about three days, Stella’s condition improved a lot, so the doctors decided to discharge her. She continued to receive medical care at home, ate nutritious meals, and received vitamins and other supplements. She was physically better but she was still emotionally unstable.
Stella wasn’t interested in anything. All she did was lay on her bed and watched things around her. She didn’t want to interact with anyone and she refused to play. But when Lucas came, everything changed.
Lucas was Louisa’s foster puppy at that time. With his young age, he surely had the energy to play the whole day. And while there were five other dogs he could roughhouse with, he chose to frolic with Stella.
At first, Stella ignored Lucas. She avoided him, but he was so persistent. He was constantly around her and he did not stop even if he got no reaction from her. Then, one day, he did it and got her to play with him.
From that moment, Stella became unstoppable. She initiated playtimes and he was always happy to oblige. She became active because of him and she healed faster because of him.
Today, Stella enjoys going on adventures with her mom and four dog siblings. She is so curious about the world and she will stop at nothing to discover new things around her. She loves nature and she will spend every second outdoors whenever she can.
