Life is already full of surprises. Add an enthusiastic furball into the mix, you’ll have an unlimited supply of happiness and exciting moments.
Take this adorable Goldendoodle spectator of a track meet in Utah. Who would have thought that being competitive is not only a human trait?
This surprising turn of events happened during a track meet hosted by the Logan High School in Utah. The event was already heated as athletes competed for first place. Thanks to an overly enthusiastic dog who refused to remain a mere spectator, the event just got even more exciting. Lucky for us, someone was able to film the whole event.
On the video footage, the dog looks as if he has trained all his life for this event. He was running as if he knows that he’s really in a race.
The crowd cheered even louder. This time it was not for the athletes but for the determined dog running like the Flash.
The dog easily caught up with the lead runner, who was later identified as Gracie Laney. She explained that she too was surprised as soon as she noticed the dog.
At first, Gracie thought it was another runner catching up on her. But as soon as it got nearer, she finally realizes that she’s about to get beaten by an adorable curly little fella.
Without hesitations, Gracie made room for the little competitor. She even made sure that she won’t trip over him.
As soon as the dog crossed the finish line, he looked back at Gracie as if proclaiming he had won. Well, technically, his win is actually irrelevant since he’s not an official track runner. But since the video got uploaded on social media, his fans came to a decision that he deserves an honorary win.
He may not be the real winner, but we’ll always know who’s the fastest runner on that track that day.
