They are your clients, and you make them look pretty even if they already look adorable.
At the same time, a dog groomer can be the worst job in the world. You might ask why and the answer is because dogs can be unpredictable. A dog might be the sweetest ball of fur at home, but when that same dog is brought to the groomers who the dog is unfamiliar with, then they can turn into a snarling fluffball.
Handling dogs who are aggressive towards you can be scary. Not to mention, it doesn’t help that a dog’s bite can be very painful. That is why the featured video below is all the more special. Because as you can see, the professional dog groomer managed to tame what seems to be a hostile pup!
The video starts with the Shiba Inu on top of the groomer’s table. The dog is put in a harness to prevent it from running away. But even when the dog is safely harnessed, it can still turn around and bite the groomer if she is not careful.
With skill, patience, and experience to back her up, the groomer begins the grooming session by talking to the dog. She assures the frightened dog that she is not going to harm him. The dog keeps on snarling at the groomer, even barking at her aggressively.
The groomer slowly reaches for the dog’s back. Once the dog is within reach, the groomer gives the dog a gentle rub on its back. This gesture calms the dog down as he realizes that she is not a threat. It’s amazing how the groomer turned a hostile dog into a submissive pup with just the touch of her hand.
