A man named Jonathan adopted Max when it was only three months old. The dog was devoted to his owner and made him very happy. They spent a lot of quality and happy time together and had a lot of happy memories.
Jonathan’s pet was the ideal buddy who never failed to cheer him up. Max’s personality made him smile all the time, and he enjoyed playing with his dog. They treasured even the most boring moments, such as simply reclining on the sofa.
As a result, when Jonathan saw his dog in pain, he felt the pain as well.
It all began when he saw Max in excruciating discomfort every time he moved. He noticed that the dog’s mobility had become severely reduced after a while. His condition then deteriorated right to the point where he couldn’t move at all. Max would grimace in discomfort even when Jonathan moved him.
When he took the poor dog to the vet, they discovered that he had a herniated disc in his spine, which was causing him pain. The only option was to have the dog undergo surgery, but even then, there was no assurance that he would be able to walk normally again. At the very least, the puppy’s agony would be alleviated. Furthermore, there was a chance that the dog would not survive the procedure.
Max should be put to sleep, according to the vet. And that was an option Jonathan could not accept.
Jonathan made the decision to allow Max to have the surgery. He would take any chance that the poor dog could get better – even if it meant spending a lot of money.
The dog’s operation was then scheduled. Thankfully, he made it out alive. The procedure was successful that the discomfort was eventually relieved, but he could only move his front legs.
Jonathan bought his dog a wheelchair and spent a lot of time caring for him. He would help the dog relieve himself as well as provide him some therapy.
Despite the limitations he had, Max maintained his normal happy demeanor. Jonathan wouldn’t have it any other way because Max was the same dog as before.
