Dogs have always been known as our best friend. But they can definitely be more than that. They could save us, literally. We all probably have heard how dogs saved people from fires, drowning, and snake attacks, among others. Some are even trained to support humans emotionally, a lifeline, so to speak. Still, some are trained as medical alert dogs to assist individuals with a medical disability.
Sadie is one of them. In addition to her very charming personality and general awesomeness, she also has this overwhelming intelligence. She is a dedicated medical response dog for Jameson LaTour, who suffers from an anxiety disorder. Sadie has been a tremendous help for LaTour and a great source of comfort when she has anxiety attacks.
Since Sadie is not always on duty, LaTour has been teaching her several skills and tricks. Being an exceptional student, Sadie has already accumulated a vast repertoire of tricks. LaTour has been all praises for Sadie’s quick learning ability. This brilliant service dog is always ready to learn a new skill or trick. LaTour has been teaching Sadie a new one, and it has become her favorite by far. We can watch their practice in the video below.
Yes, what you have seen is Sadie trying to perform a CPR on her human. She definitely hasn’t nailed it yet, but that’s what practice is for. Also, what she might lack in technical accuracy, she more than makes up in her enthusiastic delivery. Indeed, we are happy to give Sadie an A for effort!
We can all agree how adorable Sadie is while leaping off the floor and then trying to land her paws on her human gently. She might not yet save her from cardiac arrest, but she sure has been saving all of us from boredom. Way to go, Sadie!
