A one-year-old Shiloh Shepherd named Tinsley earned a big round of pats and applause after her heroic deed that saved the lives of two injured individuals.
In a Facebook post by the New Hampshire State Police, the loyal dog attracted police’s attention and led them to a crash site where the individuals were discovered.
As the story went, state trooper Sandberg as well as officers from the Lebanon Police Department, responded to a report about a loose dog on Veteran’s Memorial Bridge located on Interstate 89 near Lebanon. When they arrived, they found Tinsley and made their attempt to approach. But as soon as they approached her, she quickly ran off along the highway then crossed the border into Hartford, Vermont.
They followed her and along the way, the officers noticed a badly-damaged section of the guardrail and a mangled truck that had rolled over. They stopped pursuing Tinsley and quickly inspected the crash site. That was when they discovered two vehicle occupants who were ejected from the car. They were hypothermic and also seriously injured from the accident.
It turned out that Tinsley actually belonged to one of the vehicle occupants, the 31-year-old Cam Laundry from North Hartland, Vermont. He was driving the truck when he and his passenger, 40-year-old Justin Connors, met the accident. According to Cam, he was knocked out of the vehicle and suffered a concussion. Thankfully, both of them were expected to recover in time.
Cam was definitely thankful for his dog whom he described as his guardian angel. For him, Tinsley’s actions were just remarkable and it was just a miracle to be alive after what had happened. Tinsley did not appear to have sustained any injury from the crash but Justin’s dog who also rode with them was reportedly hit on the interstate after the crash.
